What is Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT)?
Emotional Freedom Therapy is a method of tapping, using the finger tips, on some of the body's key energy (meridian) points, while the client is "tuned in" to a specific problem.
The existing theory is that "all negative emotion disrupts the body's energy system". EFT is a useful tool to help the client deal with high emotional intensity and to reverse psychological disturbance - so balancing the body's energy system, restoring calm and positive mental attitude.
The therapy is non-invasive and can help to overcome many issues:-
- nervousness and anxiety,
- addiction,
- anger management,
- long-term grief as the result of the loss of a loved one,
- physical pains (often related to emotional disturbance),
- boost the immune system,
- insomnia,
- depression,
... to list but a few.
In fact EFT can be used to help overcome any of a person's negative feelings and in turn to assist a person to build a positive attitude and mental outlook, to improve self-confidence and motivation, to strive for what they want for themselves in life and to attain peace and harmony within themselves.
EFT is painless, positive and often permanent.
